Paradis Fitness Systems

"Paradis Fitness Systems" personal training was first established way back in April 1988, long before personal training became so popular. Owner/Trainer Butch Paradis has been involved with weight-training since the age of 10 after viewing an old "Hercules" movie. "Yeah, I grew up watching bodybuilding evolve from a basement-type cult into the multi-facetted fitness trend it is today."

Back in the winter of 1988, Butch was laid off from his construction job and during that time he would sometimes train friends and relatives in his home basement gym which he converted into a large weight-training room. He decided to run and advertisement in a local paper and the next week he had 12 clients training out of his basement gym. He has been in the fitness business for over 21 years and couldn't count how many total clients he has worked with. Butch works with housewives, athletes, celebrities, and bodybuilders. Training bodybuilders has been his favorite clients since Butch is a competitve bodybuilder himself. Butch has been a very successful coach over the years having trained dozens of top-notch natural bodybuilders. This year is no different as he and five clients have come together to form "Team Paradis" and plan on fulfilling their hard work with this year's Fitness Atlantic Championships.

The group consists of both potential and present champions:

Dutch Bulseco - 40 years old - 2008 overall Monster Mash winner and 2005 Novice Musclemania winner. He is also the only guy Butch knows that can bench 405 at 155lbs.

Angie Ramos - 36 years old - a bodybuilding fan for many years, this will be her first step on stage. Also another powerhouse, as Butch has her sqauting 2005 for 10 reps and she only weighs 125lbs.

Lor-Ann Marchesi - already an established model/covergirl she now has set her sights towards the fitness industry. She is certainly on a roll as she recently won the New England bikini/model championship. Check out her website www.MissLori-Ann.com

Chad Frazier - age 34 - training since his teens, this will be his first show. Chad had just recently appeared in Muscle & Fitness Magazine, having placed 3rd in their Reader's Transformation Contest.

Trisha Eurto - age 34 - always a fitness fanatic, Trisha entered her firsr figure show this past November and won 1st place.

Butch Paradis - age 52 - 2nd place at the 2008 over-50 Nationals and his present goal is to add the title over-50 Musclemania to his list of titles.

Butch's studio is located in Bristol, CT. His studio has a little of that Rocky Balboa feel it it, as he stays away from chrome, balls, or any gimmicks. His studio gym is predominately free-weighs with walls filled with photos of many of his successful competitors.
